SNOWBOARDING.
It's the freedom of expression. Everyone has a different stance, a different style, a different technique, a different line, a different run, a different experience. When you see a crew run a set in sequence and although all may look similar, there are unique variances in each person's steeze that makes each individual person a star in their own right. Freeride. Freestyle. Back country. Street. Park. Pipe. The boundaries are constantly being pushed and broken. We are all the same. Snowboarders. But were are all unique. We ride rocker or cambered decks. We ride powder boards or short jib sticks. We wear flashy baggy kits or tight emo pants. The opportunity for individualism and self expression is limited only by the imagination of the individual.

In the Park with Christy Prior

A big thanks to Christy for the fun day of shooting in the park. You got to love shooting a rider and hearing all the boys around you say, "holy SH!t, was that a girl? I think that was girl, that was CRRAAAAZZZY."

Sunshine Downtown Throw Down

This past Monday, Sunshine held a fun event to showcase a few of their terrain park staff in the middle of downtown Calgary... During lunch!
I am sure you can just imagine the surprised looks on all the business peoples faces as they walk down Stephen ave only to see 1) snow!?!?! and 2) a park setup (ramp + 20ft flat box)?!?!!?, let alone skiers and snowboarders jumping onto the box and sliding in some manner to the end. ha ha ha the crowds were definitely stopping to check out the action.

Sunshine at the Park - 04/11

Yesterday was out at Sunshine and all in all had a really great day. It started out a bit sketchy with sticky compact snow, but lower down the mountain we were able to get to some untouched tree runs... Sooo Good. In the end we ended up in the park and we seshed a few features for the rest of the day. It was hard to see where everything was due to conditions, eventually the lovely sunshine park crew added a splash of color to the park and all could see. Just going through the pics and hopefully will have something to post shortly.
